About Us

Trillennium Medical Imaging offers state-of-the-art infrared imaging devices with proprietary software and data collection that elevates infrared imaging to new levels.  Evidence-based practice is the clinical standard today, and TMI's approach means comprehensive data collection and analysis is available to practices of all sizes.

Infrared breast evaluation has been conducted for over 30 years; however, compilation of population statistics related to infrared information has lagged behind.  Using the Trillennium Medical Imaging System will provide the added ability to join individual clinic data into a statistical pool, providing the comprehensive numbers needed to back the efficacy of infrared detection of early metabolic changes.

Infrared has proven to be a stand-alone method of identifying the woman at risk for breast cancer.  1  Serial studies demonstrate that metabolic changes are present and sensitive, reliable radiometrics provide repeatable and consistent temperature information when study protocol is followed. 2

The key to infrared imaging in breast health evaluation is understanding the information that IR can provide.  The isolated abnormal thermal study is not supportive.  However serial abnormalities and known temperature and pattern differentials support the use of infrared imaging in identifying those at risk.  3

Additionally by measuring the temperature differentials before and after therapeutic intervention, infrared evaluation can assist the practitioner in monitoring the known cancer patient for prognostic outcome.

Infrared imaging can demonstrate tumor aggressiveness by temperature. 4 Infrared will not detect tumor size or depth, but when combined with structural imaging, such as mammography, ultrasound, MRI, or CT - will help in the evaluation process.

Additionally, because Infrared is non-contact and non-invasive, it can be used at any time and at any internal.  It is ideal for the younger woman with dense breasts, or implants. Pregnant and nursing women can also be monitored with infrared.  Detection of early metabolic changes with infrared can categorize those at greater risk and move them to a more frequent monitoring schedule.
